Freeride Party II

April 14, 2005 -- Freeride Party II at Clark's Cycle yesterday evening turned out to be stuff of legend.

Close to 100 excellent riders turned out to sample the challenging stunt course, the demo bikes and the free pizza.

With beautiful weather and more daylight, Clark's decided to set the stunt course up outdoors this time, rather than inside under the lights in their huge tent.

This allowed the addition of yet another cool stunt -- a totally new teeter totter (see below), and a much bigger gap jump, which just seemed to keep getting bigger all evening.

Darren Clark, owner of Clark's Cycle, took all day to build the course with the help of Russ Barlow and volunteers like David Waugh. Clark had Norco's to demo, but he also invited the other bike shops in town to come party too and bring their own demo bikes if they wanted, and so it was no surprise to see party animal Chris Cloninger with a Turner and Intense equipped delegation from Fanatik Bike.

Beyond this, it would be impossible to name all the great bikes and great riders we saw at the party. It was a scene, man, and it kept going for over three hours until total, unequivocal darkness finally sent everybody home happy.

The big gap jump got a lot of attention all day long. Freeride Party II poster boy Brandon and his Norco Atomik (above and below #3 and #5) were especially stylish.

Can anyone help me with the names of the other riders here?

With nearly a hundred riders and ten free pizzas, Freeride Party II at Clark's was easily the biggest bike scene of the year, thanks to volunteer stunt builders like GalbraithMt.com's own David Waugh.

Freeride Party II featured a new teetertotter, seen below, which led to a rounded, wire-topped skinny.

The other main stunt line undulated down across the parking lot to either a drop or an aerial roller coaster, b3fore crossing the big gap jump line at the very end.
